CST will present Rudyard Kipling’s Just So Stories at the Bedford Fringe Festival in England.
The adaptation by John Story features music and sound effects to enhance the three stories; The Elephant’s Child, The Butterfly that Stamped and The Cat that Walked by Himself. Two performances will be given on July 24 and 25 at The Quarry Theatre.
The presentation is a co-production with Blackout Theatre in Bedford.
Led by David Baxter, the British theatre company has regularly appeared as part of CST’s Invasion series.
First premiered at the 2005 KC Fringe Festival (with a 2014 KC Fringe remount), the cast will be a mix of American and British artists, featuring Yanks, John Story and Bob Paisley, onstage with Brits Natalie Částka, Matt Baker, Elizabeth Thomas, and Verity Moore, with Matt Hodge as the percussionist.
